Lawsuit alleges feds prevented part-time RCMP officers from buying back into pension plan
The National Police Federation, representing 20,000 Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers, has filed a class action lawsuit against the federal government, alleging wrongful prevention of part-time officers from buying back into their pension plan. According to the federation's press release, the majority of these part-time officers were women who had reduced their hours for various reasons.
